National Knife Day GAW!
Re: National Knife Day GAW!
My favorite model is the new Military 2 definitely. Ever since release I've been loving my reground s110v.
Plenty of other great ones, I think the stretch 2 xl lw in one of the new steels might edge out the military purely on the merit of edge/weight, though the whole design is real nice

Currently my favorite Spyderco is Pacific Salt in lc200n; full flat grind, rustproof, handle melts into my hand. I love the shade of green and it has my preferred locking mechanism.
Re: National Knife Day GAW!
I have many favorite Spyderco knives, but if pressed, it would have to be the SpydieChef!
ETA,
The uniqueness and practicality of the design, the steel, the look and the ergonomics all do it for me.

My favourite spydie is the caly 3 g-10 vg 10 classic - even if the hh ukpk is carried more. its just great ergos, nice f&f and very well sized edc for my uses.

Re: National Knife Day GAW!
Dragonfly 2 Wharncliffe in K390. Ultra-light, great ergos, edge shape gives it scalpel-like precision with cuts, and the steel holds an edge forever. Patina on the blade is an added bonus.

There are places where the differentiation between what's allowed and what's not is the shape of the tip?SaltSerious wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 1:41 pmAtlantic Salt, workhorse of a knife. In the electrical industry, the type of tasks I do, nothing better. Having a blunt end allows me to take to sites where pointy knives are not allowed.

My favorite is my Techno 1 in XHP. Definitely not my most carried or a "one and done" kind of knife. But I like how unique it is, the thick stock, and how it kind of epitomizes little big knife.

Bushcraft UK, just melts in the hand

Use in above pic for fireprep to make my tea, 'bushcraft pizza', and then cut some slices
This knife brings me so much fun!

Magnacut Native 5 Salt. It is my lightweight hiking, backpacking, boating knife. It feels a lot bigger in use than it does in my pocket.
Re: National Knife Day GAW!
My favorite Spyderco’s are the ones I tend to carry the most, use the most and are the most comfortable knives in hand. These four knives have always been at the top of my list for their respective purposes. With many hours of use between these four knives I don’t think I could pick just one.

Favorite has to be the Manix 2. Currently carrying the BBB version. Amazing ergonomics.
Although, I will always have a special spot for the Endura 4 and Bradley 2

For me, it is the Para 2 CPM S35VN - shown here with the WolfSpyder, another unique collaboration from Spyderco. Both knives were enjoying a sunny day at Crater Lake, OR. Thank you Spyderco!
Re: National Knife Day GAW!
The Military 2 has taken over my pocket the last month. It just might be my favorite Spyderco at the moment. Killer geometry.

I'm referring to various jobsite rules and conditions. Not to cities or counties. Seen as more of a tool and less of a weapon. That's Commiefornia for ya.Vamais wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 12:22 pmThere are places where the differentiation between what's allowed and what's not is the shape of the tip?SaltSerious wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 1:41 pmAtlantic Salt, workhorse of a knife. Hard to pick a favorite. I probably carry a Manix 2 the most often. The magnacut and SPY27 ones have been taking turns.
Re: National Knife Day GAW!
I'd have to say the Native 5. The ergonomics, the solid "thwack" of the backlock, and the variety of steels have made it my favorite.
Re: National Knife Day GAW!
Native 5, particularly the S90V with fluted carbon fiber handles. Can pass as a gentleman's folder, extreme edge retention, feels great in hand, looks great, disappears in the pocket with a deep carry clip, mid back lock gives it strong bias toward closure, full blade thickness finger choil makes it safe & easy to close on handed.

Hope this isn't too late, if it is oh well!
The Manix fits my hand the best but I think I'd have to say the Native, same hand fitting ergos with a work-friendly carry. What more could you ask for
