Not a forbidden topic, but so far, the powers that be haven't wanted to go down that path, for many reasons. I don't think that will change anytime soon.

Best luck I have had is on the Facebook group Spyderco Millie, PM2, Para 3 Club. Really great group and tightly managed. Any known scammers get booted quickly if they can even get into the group.

There's a group titled, "Spyderco Knives" on Facebook. There's a lot of action there, so if you want to buy or sell, it's the place to go.

I was able to put a Reddit Request in to get the subreddit since it was banned for being unmoderated, however, I will only allow submissions once I have confirmation that it wasn't closed at the request of Spyderco. I also have no issues passing it along to another more tenured member.

I'd be willing to help keep it going. I was really active there, and disappointed when I saw it was gone.

When I found, I started a new sub with the hopes of rebuilding (and implementing a passaround type thing), but haven't done anything with it yet and would much rather go your route.

I am a member and long time lurker of the Swap. Never bought or sold anything 2nd hand except on AZCK though. I'm not knocking Spyderco Swap, I prefer the middle-man of AZCK for the safety of my funds.

But if you guys/gals can get this off the ground, I'll be back there again, and I'll be looking for hard to find Spyderco Native Chiefs. I'll try and buy.

reddit banned my mod account over some absolute BS (Saying I was guilty of ban evasion for posting in a sub that I never even knew existed, much less had been banned from.) So I'm locked out and can't add new accounts.

Sorry. I should have chosen a better platform. Reddits awful. I joined up back around 2010 and it was steadily going downhill the entire time. I haven't even bothered making a new account just to spite people that are technologically ignorant enough to think they can ban people (like I've done at bladeforums multiple times, lol. they still don't know my current account.)

spyderco did not ask me to close it and I did not close it. Anyone that wants to take over has my full support.

Posting on social media sites is dangerous because, except for GAB.com, I cannot think of any FREE SPEECH sites. And for all of you that want to bash GAB, I am on there 1x per month or less max, have had a GAB Pro acct for years, and totally ignore the racists and knuckleheads of which there are many. It is a good meme site. When all else fails, use GAB.

Facebook would be out for me. Facebook, Microsoft, Google and others build huge dossiers on people with thousands of data points and sell the data. I got off of Facebook years ago and installed NoScript to block many of these trackers.

Reddit is what it is, just more of the same. I am on Twitter/X but will probably not pay for it because it is not in any way FREE SPEECH.
