Beautiful sunny day with temps just below and later just above freezing. This gave me the urge to get out, so packed my gear and went out for coffee and pancakes in the woods.
Grim tagged along :D

Brought my tarp, Spyderco Bushcraft UK and the Kelly Kettle Trekker. Prepared the batter at home, brought in in a bottle. That worked well.

This is THE spot :D
Image

making some pegs for my tarp with the Bushcraft UK

Setup my tarp in a configuration I never tried before... not to fond of it... but didn't feel like changing it.
Image

Small chunks of firewood for my hobo stove
Image

Thin feathers and curls to get the fire going

Image

Thin enough to catch a spark
Image

For boiling some water for my coffee

Grim's checking things out ;)
Image

Coffee is ready
Image

Now for my pancakes
Image

The first pancake always looks miserable :O
Image

Image

Grim's looking ready to steal my pancake :)

Tasted good with some sirup
