Which blade finish do you prefer?...... Satin or stonewashed? I wish spyderco did more models with Stonewashed blades. I love my 15v blades, my mcbee, and techno 2 have awesome stone washed blades.

Probably does not help much but both are the same for me. Seeing grind lines on my M4 is pretty cool, but my stonewashed Maxamet does look sharp too.

Only thing i can add is that I defiantly like satin or stonewashed over any coating.

I prefer stonewash by a landslide. Nicely finished satin is fine. I have plenty of satin blades where the grind pattern is easily visible, but I consider that to be just okay, at best. To me, the closer to mirror polish, the better.

I don't care for coatings, except on Salts. I know it doesn't make sense, but I'm a sucker for a black blade on a Salt series knife.

I generally prefer a nice satin finish but there are times when I like stonewash. So no vote for me

Blade finish plays no role in my purchasing decisions really. Sorry that I couldn't help here. All is good for me.

Satin.

I like seeing the grind lines, and then getting some patina all over them.

I like wear on my knives - scratches and patina that I put on the blade. It tells a story.

Satin blades (not least VG10 for its seemingly melted patterns, because ingot?) are my preference, but I don’t groan when I grab one of my several stonewashed blades. Didn’t vote.

The way most manufacturers do stonewash reminds me the old galvanized steel trash cans and buckets we had when I was a kid. Not something I want to be reminded of when I look at an expensive knife.

I don't own any spydies in stonewash, but if memory serves, their stonewash looks less trash-canny than most. So yay?

I just like knives, and I look at them through the lens of the handle / hilt / steel / profile, and I don't have a strong preference if they have a decent set of those 4 variables.

I'd like to see a coating that is flat black, no shine or glimmer at all with blacked out logo and flat black handle with a strong hilt.

Satin is fine too.

No preference here, either. I like both, but most of mine are satin. My only stonewashed blade is a Benchmade RSK Mini, and I like it a lot.

I don't mind a well done stonewash but satin is where it's at for me.

A near mirror stonewash just wipes clean so easily. Grind lines look cool though. Didn't vote.

Satin. I love some good grind lines. GB2 is one that sticks out for me.

I am also a fan of satin finish and the coarser the more i love it.
It isnt the best picture to show it because its a bit to bright to see the grindlines in detail but my Rex 45 Manix has the most beautiful bladefinish off every knife i own. Its much coarser then all of my others.
