Dragonfly S30V pink version, coming with bronze washer ?

Just bought a pink S30V Dragonfly and to my surprise it does come with bronze washers, despite the OG Dragonfly 2 not running them.




Is it because of the DLC coating ? The pink DGFLY runs smoothly, but as smoothly as the normal DGFLY 2, so why the change ?

Not DLC, but instead TiCN FWIW.

For me it'd be surprising if it's because of the coating because coated Salts (Pacific, Salt 2) don't get washers added. Curious one

I have both the coated and uncoated dragonfly in superblue and both have the washer.

I have the pink S30V version with non-coated blade. I just upgraded to Flytanium. Mine did not have any washers (but it does now).

I just blade-swapped a TiCN-coated S30V blade from a brand new pink Dfly into some red and black Zome scales and neither it or the 20CV blade from the Zome model had washers.

Anyone know a reliable source for these size washers aside from contacting Spyderco (whom I’m guessing won’t be keen on offering them)? I wouldn’t mind adding them in to a few of my Dflys since they do run more smoothly with them installed.
