I think that it was last year that I called attention to local council members of my town the fact that Chicago(where we get our tap water from) has no immediate plan to stop PFAS. They said that it would require at least $1 billion and the funds are not there right now.

Nobody cares to ruffle any feathers.

It is definitely a very real problem. I am and have been an advocate for plastics/polymers but I am for safe plastics that do not harm people and the enviroment and animals and plants.

If we could move to diamond polymers which are nothing but carbon arranged into a diamond like structure, perhaps with hydrogen termination on the carbon atoms, and no dangerous side-reactions in the processing, that would be a big step.

The microplastics have been in the most remote areas of the planet. They float on the wind. They are in every cup of water, stream, lake, and ocean. Thousands of microplastic pieces per yard of dirt are absorbed by plants and end up in our crops.

We are consuming thousands of pieces of plastic per day, a credit card worth a week.

Please, say no to diamond polymers that break down and we ingest them. The microplastics are bad enough.

We need to fix this problem ASAP. We are polluting the planet so bad that things like microplastics and PFAS are going to kill everything on the planet.
