Consider me wayyy late to the CZ party, this Shadow 2 makes me as happy with a new gun purchase as I’ve been in a very long time! The only problem I can see is I’ve gone through 2/3 a case of S&B ammo in a couple of weeks!

This purchase came out of nowhere, a HK USP Expert 9mm was definitely on my “to purchase next” list, and I’ll eventually buy one but I’m enjoying this Shadow 2 too much at the moment!

Both targets were at 10 yards, the second target with the rounds to the left were from the range officer, he really wanted to shoot my Shadow, he commented the windage was slightly off to the left. He handed the pistol back and while he was standing there I put 10 rounds through the center, he smiled and went back to work! 😉

Last one is actually my 4.5" PDP full size in od/fde but I don't have a picture of it yet. However, I got my Prodigy, and both Tisas doublestacks right before so it. counts!

What are your thoughts on the Platypus? I know it runs on glock mags but that's about it. Haven't done much research.

It's amazing. Zero failures of any kind, with oem glock or magpul mags. Smooth action, pretty tightly fit as well. It was well worth the cost. I had problems with the stock 2 piece guide rod, and stealth arms had a 2nd gen in the works and sent me one free. Still had issues with it loosening, and it decided to seize on me (used too much loctite, my fault!) so I went to a one piece egw rod. No issues since! I will never give this pistol up.

I do sometimes wish I had chose a different color for the slide but I'm still happy with it! Might get another one day, especially now they have some new options. I love it though.

On a side note on the guide rod...i don't understand 2 piece rods. One piece is where it's at. I even swapped the tisas to one piece rods from GI setups. Funny though, I swapped the Prodigy to a 10-8 GI setup from a 2 piece... Lol

That's a nice platypus. I'm on the fence between that or just biting the bullet on a staccato... I spent a day with a Staccato XC and I've never been right since and my ZEV Gucci glocks just sit now.

Not the last gun I bought,
the last gun that Hunter Biden bought.
Maybe I missed it, but
was the Colt Cobra tossed in the trash
by his girlfriend/brother's widow
ever recovered?
Where is it now?

One of my gunsmithing instructors, the late Bob Dunlap, said Tisas was excellent. That was some years ago now, so I can not be sure if current production is made to the same standard. However, at a previous time, they were quite obsessive in there attempt to replicate the American 1911. They literally cut the slides of examples in half so that they could get hardness measurements for the steel throughout the inside of the slide, not just the surface hardness. If I remember correctly, I believe they were using centrifugal casting for the slides, which stands up pretty well when compared to forging, though still not quite as good. I'll have to check what info I have on them again.

The Mrs. picked up a Sig p365 with 3-12 round mags and a really bizarre Kydex holster.
The only issue is a can’t use it till Fathers Day. I’m excited, been lusting for this gun
for a few years now. Don’t need it, just wanted it.
;)

The 365 joins 2 other Sigs in the family.
Sig p238 which belongs to the Mrs. and is carried by her daily.
I’ve always loved the diminutive size and it’s a very good shooter.

My Sig p239 SAS is a solid pistol, a little heavy and only single stack.
Very accurate pistol and the DAK trigger is awesome once you get used to it.
