Stretch 2 pivot screw washer size

#1

Post by PlungeGrind »

Anyone know the size of the tiny washer that goes with the pivot screw on the stretch 2 k390? I seem to have lost mine somehow.
Thanks in advance!

The Delica, Endela, and Endura all use the same washers. I'd bet the Stretch 2 does too. There are replacements available in the aftermarket.

I'm sure Spyderco can supply a replacement, but it's an internal part, so you'd probably need to send your knife in for service. I believe their policy is that they don't send out internal parts.

Those are the washers for the pivot. I’m looking for the washer that goes on the pivot screw.

Have you disassembled a stretch?

Inside diameter 0.161"

Stay safe,

Mike

Did you lose both? If you lost one, you could measure the other.

Yes, if they would only reply that would be great, but alas every time I email them, crickets.

Unfortunately customer service at Spyderco is becoming as subpar as BM.

Oh that washer! It appears to be sometimes included and sometimes not. I've had several K390 Delicas. Some of them had it and some of them didn't.

I do have a K390 Stretch 2.

I measured with a cheap set of digital calipers.
The washer is tiny. It's fairly difficult to measure, so these are approximate. I dropped it a lot while measuring. The thickness was the easiest to measure.

outer diameter (inches/mm): .224 / 5.5
inner diameter: .082 / 2.06
thickness: .013 / .32

It's the same washer as is sometimes on a Delica/Endura and sometimes not. Given that it's sometimes included and sometimes not, I wouldn't sweat too much that it's missing.
I compared the washer on my K390 Stretch 2 and the one on an old ZDP-189 Delica. They were the same as far as I could tell.

Hi, PlungeGrind:
I checked with W&R, and they haven't received any emails from you (at least not from the email address you use on the forum). Please send me a PM with your contact information and I can have them check again.

Awesome! Thanks for the info, that’s exactly what I was looking for. I had several disassembled at once so maybe I didn’t lose it after all.

Thanks a million!
