Wow, Clemson may have just punched our (Carolinas) ticket to the Final Four!
IF......if we beat Alabama!
Reason I say that, is because we pretty much OWN Clemson in basketball!
Yeah, pretty thrilled Clemson won!
That game surprised me , figured Arizona would make a comeback and hold off Clemson for win . Another big dance loss for Arizona , never seem to break through . Dan
Dan, I told my wife before the game started, that I had a feeling that Clemson was gonna beat Arizona. I just had a feelin man....
I also got a feelin that Gonzaga will knock off Purdue tomorrow.
As far as Carloina & Illinois goes, I haven't a clue.
That's really weird how that works....ya know what I mean?
Maybe I'm just crazy 😆
Thanks for joining the club , it was lonely ! :zany So far looking good using our bench which will help . Dan

Halftime 10 point lead playing our game and ramped defense up . Worse I have seen Illini shoot free throws . Refs are calling a tight game . Dan

Man, we were just out coached and out played in the 2nd half.
I'm just absolutely baffled at the last few minutes-
RJ Davis had absolutely no business handling that ball, Withers had no business shooting 3's!
Where was Elliot Cadeau, Cormac Ryan, Seth Trimble!!
Hubert Davis lost this game. Period.

Illini I 72-69 for the win . Ugly game but we will take it . Iowa State is a tough team see how they handled Houston . Refs were awful or I’m just accustomed to Big Ten games . 🤣 Sorry to see UNC go down , I thought they were going to turn it around . Dan

Dang Paul, sorry buddy. Alabama is a good team, but I was for sure y'all would move on last night.

Great win Dan! Go all the way buddy!

........I mean Withers & Wojick & Withers takin that 3 with the lead and all that time on the shot clock :thinking
& that's just the tip of the 2nd half ice berg.....
Man, I'm really upset with the coachin last night- as many Tar Heels are this mornin.....
But, I won't get into it. It's over said and done.
It's just a game we should not have lost Larry.

I know there is a lot of clamoring for new coaching for UK. More and more cat fans are jumping off the Calipari bandwagon and I'm finally one of them. Spent too many years being a Cal apologist and I just can't defend him any longer.

He doesn't care about tournaments and has said as much, but why even play if you're not going focus on the biggest prizes for your sport! Big deal he gets more players into the NBA, they players 1st motto he's been touting to get high end recruits does nothing for the fans. We should focus on banners instead of giant murals of millionaires on the walls.

Anywho end coaching rant....

There is always next year 🤦‍♂️🤢

Larry, I'm so glad to hear you say that!!
Any coaches job is to make the best team possible for the school and WIN.
And for teams like North Carolina, Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State, UConn especially these schools - that means competing for the National Championship year in year out.
We don't rebuild, we reload.
That may sound cocky or pompous or whatever but. it's true.
And especially so for Kentucky- Cal constantly got the best recruits the Nation had to offer. Even a little better than what Duke gets and certainly better than what North Carolina usually gets..
And not even to mention that gargantuan salary yall pay this cat! (Oops! No pun intended!)
But, I'm not tellin you anything new Larry.

Illinois can do it too. UConn can be beat.

Thanks Paul , both teams in some ways are a lot alike . We have to improve shooting percentage and free throws . Less turnovers will be key to keep us in the game . Proud of Illini how far they came this year especially with all the distractions . We are losing a lot of key players this season so may be last time seeing them play together. Hope,we can do another thread again next year , this has been a lot of fun and thank you Larry and Paul . Dan

Both teams are not shooting great percentage wise . Defense for both teams has been tight , not many second opportunity shots for either team . Domask is having game of his life , Huskies aren’t giving Shannon much to work with . We need to tie and get over the hump , can’t do that missing so many layup shots. This has been a problem this year with the Illini and has drove me crazy . 🤪 Dan
