Hmmm, let's see, we collect, wolves, pocket dragons, GI Joes, Air Force Security Police stuff, parachuting/skydiving stuff, steiff, copper molds (don't laugh!) and antique glass.

Hmmmmm.....

Books, Eagles (mostly statuary, but some paintings) watches, guns, and, not that you can "collect" them, but finding real people and real friends tops the list.

Ok, hmmm, Spidies (not a bunch, but I'm working on it), Cool quartz crystals, crystal balls, and here's a weird one; roots that have grown around pipe or sprinkler heads (I had to fix them so I wash them off and if they are weird enough, I keep them). Have a lot of books, most I loan and never get back, but some that I -don't- loan.

Zippo's. I used to buy them on a regular basis but since being a spyder addict I buy one every now and then. I have about 18 of them.

I don't collect anything really.

I have a few SAK's and 2 Spyderco's. Thinking of buying a nice old slipjoint like a Queen or Case.

I have some Zippo's that I used to collect but I don't collect anymore.....they just sit in my closet.

Dogs here too, if you can call it collecting. Four of our own and we foster strays for a foundation till they get a new owner.
It can be pretty crowded with dogs here.

Ah the great thread revival

I love when threads get resurrected. It's nice to see how things have change, and sometimes, nice to see them stay the same.

If you ask any member of my immediate family, they'll tell you I collect EVERYTHING. The truth is not that far off.

Apart from knives I collect:

Swords- as money permits, the blades I want are inevitably high priced. As I prefer functional, to decorative, pieces. Those nearly always are more expensive. I'm limited to maybe one a year, if I'm lucky.

Books- I collect books of various authors, the primary being Frank Herbert's work, with a large assortment of Brian Lumley as well. Stephen King's Dark Tower series is in there as well. The rest are random authors that were not talented enough for me to remember their names.

DVDs- Can't really pin down a genre on this one. My tastes are all over the board. The only one I can say, is that if theres a well choreographed swordfight in the movie, odds are I have that movie.

Video games- slowly growing out of this. Used to spend the bulk of my money on video games, but I find that I now lack the money, and the time, to invest in this hobby. Still plug in the PS2 now and again, but its practically a DVD player now.

That about covers it for me. If I think of anything else, I'll edit.

There is an off topic section now.

Plus, as a general rule in all forums weather it be knives, computers, film, music, you just don't bring up old threads from years ago. A lot of the time people get mad because the thread is dead, and a lot of the posters are long gone by now. Plus it always seems to be new posters that revive old old threads...

If the mods want it off topic they can move it.

This General rule you speak of is not true. Who cares if you bring up an old thread? I like old threads.

Some of us have never seen the "old" ones. That's the beauty of a forum.

That's crazy to not bring up old stuff. It's like not using a tool if you have it.

I think you're the only one getting "mad"
