Well done Mr. Blonde!

The three upcoming 15V folders you posted about (Military2/G-10, Manix2/FRCP, MicroJimbo/G-10) will all be Regular Production or Sprint Runs?
I asked again at the IWA Show and I got back that the 15V knives were planned as regular production. I'm sure the next Reveal will settle it definitively.

Definitely will have to get a G10 Para 3 with 15V. Was hoping that would happen, I do like the Para 3 as a sub 3 inch knife.

The last of the CPM-15V Spyderco Production Samples I can share is the wonderful Lil’ Native. Personally, prefer the lockback version, but I realize market majority prefers the compression lock version. It’s all good, and I can still switch the clip on this lil’ big knife for left-handed carry 😉.

That’d be great if all the 15V BBB models were Regular Production including those already released in the past year or so as Sprint Runs:

  1. Manix2 CPM-15V Brown G-10 C101GPBN15V2 Sprint Run (USA) - DEC 2022
  2. ParaMilitary2 CPM-15V Brown G-10 C81GPBN15V2 Sprint Run (USA) - FEB 2023
  3. Shaman CPM-15V Brown G-10 C229GPBN15V Sprint Run (USA) - MAR 2023

Maybe the future 15V Native 5 and Native Chief can be regular production since they have not been announced as sprint runs. Hint hint.

Oh man, that is excellent news :open-grin ! I hope the Native 5 (and LW) will join the flock !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Thanks Wouter for another of these always exciting Amsterdam threads! :clinking-mugs

Very cool what Spyderco does with 15V!
Though I have to be honest: I hope we'll also get to see some new designs or variants of designs that differ in other aspects than sort of steel.. :smirk
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Would love to see the 15v Manix 2 LW in regular production but Eric said in a Shot Show video that it was going to be a sprint run. https://youtu.be/dDFVwaxmVx8?si=j2L754pU9Dzep0HO

Well, I've never really wanted a MicroJimbo or Military 2 until today, and now I really want them.

I thought that having both the lil Native wharncliffe and the microjimbo would be redundant, but 15v changes that. 😁

I really like k390 so I think I will really like 15V, based on the information on the forums.

Good excuse to get my first para 3.

I believe you'd be extremely hard-pressed to find something not to like about 15V if you really like K390. I find 15V a noticeable step-up, IMO/IME. I suppose now I'll have a real way to test the corrosion resistance between the two in-the-pocket.

When the Manix 2 LW 15V was first announced, I KNEW I would have one. I've been discouraged that the Reveal hasn't been revealed yet, but these pictures have reinvigorated me. I'm so excited that maybe I'll even get a Military 2.

seems they have put a lot of effort into getting 15V right, so it only makes sense that it sicks around.
To me, the fact that they now reveal 15V versions of models that doesn't already have a Maxamet version only strengthens that hypothesis, but like Mr. Blonde says, we won't know for sure until we know.

If 15V is headed for regular production I would be surprised if Maxamet isn't phased out as 15V gains traction in the production line. I don't know either steel well enough to say if they compliment each other in some way or if they just compete in the same space, but from my limited understanding I'd probably choose (Spyderco/BBB) 15V over Maxamet every time.
I'll miss the Maxamet grey scales though.

Edge Retention of 15V is up there along with Z-Max, Maxamet and Rex-121 (coming in Sage 5). TCC is Total Cardstock Cut in millimeters in Larrin’s tests.

I wonder if the 15V Lil Native will be made in the LW? I think the blade is too thick on the standard for the best cutting, but it does make it stout and to me, a better choice than something like the Techno.

No judgement intended, but I can’t recall a pre-Reveal reveal (or any of the 14 Reveals) where Spyderco featured a particular steel so hard (in both senses…).

Given BBB’s tweaks to 15V, Spyderco is making a real break from the pack (as if it really needed to).
