Took the edge to 1200grit and stropped. Nice and sharp. Got to keep practicing free hand sharpening! Many thanks to Vivi and all the people in the sharpening thread who took the time to answer my questions

How do you like the Waterway ? I have been looking at one . Dan

I like it a lot!
I carry (mostly in my pack when hiking) and use it quite a bit, but do not post much about it.

Now that the Enuff 2 is available it would be hard though to choose between these two, that mostly fill the same niche..

As far as I can tell (only had the Enuff 1, not the "2"): Ergos are better on the Enuff, carry (thin, slim handle and especially less substantial sheath) go to the Waterway (FOR its thin handle it actually has decent ergos too!)
... If one wants a "Salt" the choice is obvious anyway, as long as there is no Enuff 2 Salt.

In any case the Waterway works really well for a do it all CUTTING tool.
It is not a chopper or made for crazy hammer-it-into-bricks stuff, but it absolutely can take for example the kind of batoning where I personally think a knife is better than a hatchet: Splitting two to three finger thick branches, just for making kindling (which is more than enough for a "cooking" fire, though not for a "keeps one warm" fire).

For dedicated bushcraft use I´d take a thicker, more handfilling handle of course, and a scandi will always bite deeper into wood than the ffg of the Waterway.

The sheath, as said, is really nice: Much slimmer and lighter than the Enuff sheath, and if one rotates the clip to 45 degrees, on many pants the Waterway can be carried quite well INSIDE the right front pocket.
On the belt it rides rather (too) high though (I think forum brother aicolainen attached a dangler due to that to make it ride lower).

! I am sure you know that the Waterway is disco´ed though!

Posted this already, but here once more:

I’ve been looking at the shaman lately but have never been a fan of the choil so the bodacious might be a great fit for me. But those contoured scales look so nice.

Some might have noticed from my pics that I am really much more of an outdoors-guy than a "city-boy".

A day in town still is not too bad though when the city is as nice as my hometown Salzburg actually is.

And my absoulte favorite PE folder in pocket (Endura in HAP40 - and yes, it even "beats" my 4V Goddard) helps in making the day another good one! :smlling-eyes
