What is that?
Isn't k390 the "high performance delica?"
High Hollow Grind Delica in VG-10. It has been much discussed and narrowed down to that combo. Here's the excitement/evolutionary thread:

It all started when I saw a post from Evil D that struck a chord with me and I ran with it. So you can thank David for the HP Delica if it ever gets made.

Exactly BBB well said. I hope you know that you and Evil D inspired this thread brother :D

Appreciate the additional thread link. I was sure the discussion went back a ways further, but my memory along with my peek-a-boo involvement within the forums here have long stood as the bane of my forum fact checking existence.

Well it was nearly 4 years ago and there have been a few threads on the subject. No one can be expected to remember things that far back. I only remember because I made the thread. You are right to include Shawn. His knife making, youtube channel, and love of thin slicey grinds had a huge influence on me and the knife community.

I should amend my previous statement to thank David, Shawn, and sal!

Well after a few years of collecting Sydercos I finally got my first Delica, in K390 of course. I think this thread pushed me to give it a try.

Curious of you’d ever do a magnacut delica exclusive or sprint run Sal? Not a salt model but one with liners. Would be awesome

Hi Rugernurse,

I imagine we'll get to all of the requests in time. MagnaCut is a good steel, Larrin did a good job, but it's not the only steel. I know the market is high on it right now, but we make a lot of models in a lot of good steels.

For me it’s the Endela in k390… just a bit more blade length, belly, and what seems like a ever so slightly thicker tip… it almost has a bit of a Insingo blade shape… fits my hands like a glove… and man do I love k390! Delica, Endela, Endira… Such a great family of knives!

Haha, in all seriousness I am hoping for a new exclusive this year with the Delica. It’s fast becoming my favorite knife to throw in the pocket. Been tempted to get the K390 but want to wait to see what might come this year

i would've loved to see a coated wharncliffe delica, especially in the red/black zome from dlt.

Seems like this is an enabling thread. I ordered a Delica K390 SE since it has been discontinued. $85 for a classic in a super steel with a Spyder Edge designed by a legend is kind of a no brainier. 😁
