When the provided steak knife cannot even cut a filet, it's makes you glad you always bring a real knife with you.

I really like the SpydieChef, so I hope she doesn't get too attached this weekend.

May your feet be warm and dry and your throat warm with whiskey. A knife in hand or in the sock band.

Pac Salt 1 SE: To me the perfect regular sized hiking folder.

While I prefer the ergos of the Pac Salt 2 (two) = Endura 4 handle and the bidirectional texturing, I am still glad I have a Pac Salt 1 (one) for outdoor/hiking use: A bit more compact in carry and feels a bit sturdier than the Pac Salt 2 due to the "solid" (like in not "honeycombed" on the inside) linerless FRN handles.

Not that I'd be not happy with a Pac Salt 2, these are just very subtle differences, and with liners (= Endura) I definitely prefer the current shape of Endura 4 / Pac Salt 2.

Image
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)
