Ooph, that was quick.

I’m not buying knives for awhile while I pay off some debt, but this one is definitely on the list.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Value Folders are manufactured in China. DLC is used on Made-in-USA products. Spyderco's current coating options, based on country of manufacture of the knives, are:

US - DLC
Taiwan - TiCN
Japan - TiCN or Ceramic (on the Perrin fixed blades)
China - Black Oxide

Stay safe,

Mike

Didn’t realize they were doing a combo edge. Hasn’t been much serrated M4 from Spyderco; off the top of my head I can only think of the BHQ exclusive Dodo. This would have made a great work knife back when I did new home construction.

ComboEdge:
...

Those who might consider a combo edge Tenacious:
Keep in mind, though it is perceived as a smaller knife, the Tenacious has the cutting edge length of an Endura (a hair less by the specs on the Spyderco site, but in my real life comparison the same)
... and many appearantly prefer a combo edge to be in a long edge.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I am with you on everything you said. But why do you think people presume it is a small knife? I mean it looks way bigger then the little Native for example. ( for naming a smaller spydie )

Guess I did not word this precisely enough...
I said smaller knife and actually meant it is often perceived as being smaller than the Endura to which I compared it (and which has practically the same cutting edge length).

To me personally cutting edge length is the main (though not the only!) parameter that defines the size of a knife anyway. So as long as the handle offers enough space for a good four finger grip, folders like Endura and Tenacious are in the same, for me "regular" size category (while a Manix for example would be smaller than a Tenacious - again, that's just me!)

Man that Tenacious looks great and I love a combo edge, just got the Resilience CE and gonna put it through the paces today…I like carrying one PE and one SE and a CE lightens the load 😉
