PM2 Magnacut

Post by Manixguy@1994 »

I’m curious and may have missed this information . Will the PM2 models coming soon be considered a Salt model or just a PM2 with Magnacut blade ? Thank you ! MG2

While we’re on this subject I’m curious why they didn’t go with FRN for this one like the para 3.

Because in case of the PM2 it is, though a Salt, not an (almost) linerless lightweight version like the Para 3 Salt is.

No PM2 LW (FRN, linerless) exists yet, regardless if "Salt" or not.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

More significant redesign so more work and cost. I assume they are working on it or at least considering given the sales potential.

If I'm not mistaken, their was difficulty getting a comp lock into the Pm2 vs. Para3 when using FRN because the material had more flex in it with the longer handle of the Pm2. I think that was part of the reason we have yet to see a Pm2 lightweight. But don't quote me on that, it is a somewhat fuzzy recollection that may not be accurate.

Mine is on the way. This may be the last knife I need to buy for a really long time (for real this time haha).

Hi, Sal.

How is the texture under the clip when clipping and unclipping it in the pocket?

He has one because he’s the president of the company. They haven’t been released to market yet. I’m sure you’ll read about it here on the forum when it drops. Cheers, Radioactive

Ha no I know his name is on most of my knives. I was quoting CDEP who says he ordered one and is getting it next week.

PS nevermind I see he said Indiana Knives further up. Sounds like they're making their way through distributors/retailers so we may not have much longer :party-face

Maybe there are a few posts missing here since the re-rack?

I've been carrying mine for two or three weeks.
Love it, PM2s are my fave I think.
I actually was bummed when I thought I gave it a couple of bad scratches by something else in my pocket, but the next day the scratches were gone.
That DLC coating really is hard like a diamond. The residual metal from those other objects rubbed right off.

I love the fishbone G10. The clip was a little tight and the scale a little rough for my better pants at first but I let the clip sit a couple nights with two popsicle sticks under it.
It seems perfect now.

Got the satin blade with yellow/black scales on pre-order
