My favorite small spydie of all time.

I never even held the Rhino, am not that much of a comp.lock guy and not sure how I´d like the trailing point - but still I absolutely see what you mean, love to look at that design!!

I do hope that the larger version Rhino Grande will some day get "spyderized" - see this thread (I´ll link the first post with a pic, what a knife! :star-struck And the very negative blade angle should make up for the high trailing point (so that the point still sits low in real use)) viewtopic.php?f=2&t=80103#p1241509
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Nearly 5 straight months of EDC carry...and IMHO, it's one of the best around.

that sounds like my experience exactly. multiple time i drew the knife and the pickpocket came off completely. the knife opened, but i would've left a piece behind in a real situation.

the pickpocket for the yojimbo is completely different though. it was machined to fit much better and doesn't require a second screw. it's very solid and i've never once had an issue with it. i think the models with the second screw probably just won't ever fit as securely. it's a shame, but i like my wharncliffe delica better without it anyway and ended up getting a wave delica instead. it's a much better solution.
Interesting. The Yojimbo family with Emerson openers from the factory would be great, same for the Seki Wharncliffe models. I might try an Emerson Endura someday, but right now I’m fighting the urge to get a Swick 5 or Ronin!

Speaking of Wharncliffes, had a few with me today for Wharny Wednesday 🤘

Great work, that's impressive! Also a great blade choice to use for it.

Cleaning off my knife stands and never really thought about these two knives together, but definitely a couple favorites in the smaller class of knives. Titanium/micarta/carbon fiber, great edge holding with S90V, Sheepsfoot blade design. Got me thinking, does Spyderco have any Sheepsfoot style blades in the Native size range? I know it's not the most popular blade design for Spyderco.
