Voted 5-6 but I included as well other Spyderco Products, sharpening stones:

Tenacious lightweight in Tan - Tenacious was my first real Spyderco in 2008 from my first proper salary as a student and it quickly replaced my Cara Cara. It was cherished and adored until it has been damaged beyond repair by my step father. Felt I need to revisit this knife and it became my most carried knife of 2023.

K390 Manbug - could not resist great deal on this one during my spring trip to Lorenzi in Vienna. This little bugger is constantly in my shirt pocket or Jeans 5th pocket ready for small cutting tasks where I don`t want to raise eyebrows of NKP.

K390 Delica - wanted Delica with better edge holding abilities than my standard VG10 and I am sucker for some nice patina

Manix 2 G10 - just regular S30V but oh boy, how I love this knife

CBN benchstone - absolutely love it, S90V PPT was breeze to sharpen, generally it shortened my time spent sharpening knives and I don`t feel need to progress further in sharpening apart from light stropping on 1 and 0.5 micron.

Doublestuff 2 - great touch up\Sharpening tool and as well travelling companion to places where knives are dull and heavily damaged - future Parents in Law house, friends, family... Last time I used it on quite dull bread knife while visiting friends who complained about dull bread matter separator - quick fix with DB2.

Four, all in pretty much the exact same (and my personal "regular") size range..

Two (St. Nicks Native Chief / Siren) I resold again though they had a lot going for them!

Two on the other hand became 100% keepers and absolute top favorites and get carried a lot (Thin Red Line Endura / St. Nicks 4V Goddard)

- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Five, according to email receipts. Four from the discontinued sales and one dealer exclusive.

Looking forward to the DLC Bodacious so that'll be at least one current/regular production for 2024.

Only 2 for me. By far the lowest number since joining the forum. Mainly because of the role change at work. There was definitely a handful of exclusives I really wanted, so I'm proud of myself for not giving into FOMO!

That's just the Seconds Sale. Add in all the Mule drops and I'm over 20 for the year, as usual.

28. Lots of Black Friday, map holiday, and opfocus. Retail perhaps 4. I filled half of my collection in 2023. Retiring this year so purchases will be far and few between. So I have been told!

Are you asking about purchases of new knives (either from Spyderco or a retailer) or total purchases including from the secondary market?

If you're asking about new knives, then four.

The 15V Shaman Sprint, T15 Mule, Subvert Sprint and the Goddard SNK Exclusive.
Currently testing: M398, D3, SLD-Magic
Favorites: 10V, s90v

i technically bought my 15v manix right around Christmas of '22, but didn't get it until after Christmas and didn't carry it until january of '23. maybe that counts...?

otherwise, purchased spydercos for the year were just 4.
kj exclusive 20cv wharncliffe delica
wave delica
dlc manix
nishijin stretch xl

spyderco also announced knives in '23 that i wanted to buy, but had to wait on... hopefully, i'll add a manix salt, native chief salt, stretch 2 xl salt, spymyto, military 2, and maybe a lil native lightweight this year, just from what was announced last year and i haven't been able to get yet.

2023 was my first year with any Spyderco. So, I had a lot of catching up to do. I ended up with 34 plus a few of the small kitchen knives. Of those 34, two are Delica. All of the others are just one of that model. With just the last four fancy ones totaling over $1,200, I'm afraid to add up the total cost of everything. That's one column I left off my spreadsheet just in case my wife sees it. :shush. :rofl

15 for myself and 27 for the Christmas of Spyderco.
42 total.
Plus 3 wooden knives that were also Xmas gifts. If you want to count that.
