i guess that's a blessing then. office work does make it difficult to get sweet pictures of spydies. at least you have an excuse to carry your more capable blades still.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:42 pmI can't escape my old position! I forced the patina and never have any issues. I do try to carry in dry weather but with a little care if caught in rain I just blow out and lightly oil . Dan

I wasn’t aware it could be had at that price, I would’ve gotten another! I really like mine.ladybug93 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:28 pmi'm still kicking myself for not picking up a wharncliffe endura for $40 during the map holiday.
how do you like the pickpocket on the manix? i considered trying one, but i'm not sure i want to mess with it after my varied success between the yojimbo and wharncliffe delica (works like a charm on the former and not so solid on the latter).
I wish I could recommend the Pickpocket, but mine moved around too much for my liking and didn’t seem very secure. The one on my Manix is actually for the Endura/Pacific Salt. Had to shim the inside of the thumb hole, but it works pretty well on the Manix. Someday I might retry it on the PS with shims.
For how much they cost, I’d prefer something more secure without having to modify it. For a dedicated self defense knife, I think it’s ok, but I worry about it coming off when I’m using the knife for actual utility work.
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
that sounds like my experience exactly. multiple time i drew the knife and the pickpocket came off completely. the knife opened, but i would've left a piece behind in a real situation.PeaceInOurTime wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 4:33 pmI wasn’t aware it could be had at that price, I would’ve gotten another! the pickpocket for the yojimbo is completely different though. it was machined to fit much better and doesn't require a second screw. it's very solid and i've never once had an issue with it. i think the models with the second screw probably just won't ever fit as securely. it's a shame, but i like my wharncliffe delica better without it anyway and ended up getting a wave delica instead. it's a much better solution.

Thanks guys! It's a unique one but a good one that SpydieChef. Definitely gets more pocket time than the Kapara that I traded for. Small slim with a lot of edge.

Glad you like that kind of pics and getting a glimpse at my beloved home country

You know I've always and honestly been a fan of those "Rick-pics" with their unique and distinct style... have been missing those lately (I know, your line of work changed), nice to see one again!TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 1:42 pmI can't escape my old position!
