Even the acting was terrible, which is surprising because it has a decent cast. The movie was crude, as well.

Well, poo. Sorry to hear that. Can't say I'm shocked, though. Historical accuracy is modern Hollywood's Waterloo.

Very hollow and disappointing! Great battle scenes though but you can’t live on that alone. Well deserved Oscar nominations for Production and Costume Design. The coronation ceremony was beautifully done with Jacques Louis David being shown painting his epic.
