...And it is a bit different between Golden and Seki (at least in FRN/FRCP)... wonder how Taichung will do it.
I like burnt orange as a color, but it's not always executed to my taste.
Only 3 Spyderco's in burnt orange has spent any amount of time in my sock drawer, all Golden. 2 were G-10's and one was FRCP.
Based on my samples the FRCP is a much nicer burnt orange than the G-10. IMO.

The G-10 BO doesn't bother me, they are only tools so who cares, but it's a stretch to say I like the color. It's just OK.

Differently to you I never had burnt orange G10, but "only" two FRN and one FRCP Spydie(s) in that color.

On all three I like burnt orange a lot: To me just the "classy", warm and unobtrusive "kind of orange" (compared to bright orange).

Just as british racing green compares to screaming high viz green.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I agree. The BO FRCP looks like I expect burnt orange to look. And I like it. In comparison the G10 is less saturated and I think you would agree that it's a bit mehh compared to the FRCP.

Let's have a follow up if you get your hands on BO G-10 from Golden some day.

Sure... but I guess it's not very likely that I'll ever own a G10 burnt orange knife. Nothing wrong with that handle material at all, but I am just still too much of an FRN/FRCP kind of guy...

I’m holding out on the bodacious until it’s released in a different steel which I’m sure is coming.
Beware the Manix 2 back lock syndrome.

The burnt orange is like caramel pudding on the way out of a hungry dog.
Its like the long toenails of a bed ridden witch.
Its like butterscrotch.
