Super good sale at Eknives in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Chaves knives!
Gotta say, the Chaves 229 Rendencion Lee Williams Kickstop is as every bit as good or maybe a touch smoother even than a Hinderer! I've had plenty of Tri-Way Hinderers to know 😆
At any rate, the 229 Kickstop is on sale for $280!! They're regularly $410
I actually bought another Chaves from them today, this time I got the 229 Liberation Tanto for $265!
They're regularly $375
Here's a video on the Liberation 229 Tanto - it's not a flipper- and the actions on these are phenomenal

I missed this one and just now saw this but luckily I caught the one at Blade HQ for $287. You’re not kidding though on how smooth this thing is. And the fit and finish is really incredible.
It's just really wonderful to get one at that price.
That's a real deal for sure. And enjoy the heck out of it. And be warned, when you sharpen her and get into that steel a little, she comes on like a freight train 😃
That's awesome to hear man! I'm definitely going to enjoy this very sharp factory edge for a bit and then I'll throw it on the Edge Pro and hit it with the Edge Pro diamond matrix stones. I love how you unlock it and just start to close it a hair and then a light shake and it just drops all the way home and has that VERY solid clink at the detent.

$10 poor mans Bugout. I guess the new version is D2 and more than decent if you set your expectations appropriately

$81 shipped for the 3V SRK is a stupid good deal. Lots of companies selling 8Cr and 1075 fixed blades for a similar price.

I've beaten on two this past year and have nothing but good things to say about them. I dig the SK5 versions too but these hold an edge and resist corrosion much better while still being easy to sharpen.

Might as well order myself a third.

Do you all think we will ever see a new wave of great lockblade folders coming from Japan, a rebirth of what they did in the 1970s through the 1990s, or because of economics that is forever past?

Indiana Knives now has a "make offer" section, with a handful of Spyderco models.. new Black Police, Sage 6, Harpy, a bunch of Spy27 models, Military 2 Salt.. along with other brands - Mostly Benchmade, but there are some Microtech & Demko as well..

https://indianaknives.com/collections/make-offer

I was able to acquire the newly-released (and grossly-overpriced at $450) Benchmade 710-25 for $300 shipped..

I'm not sure how low Eric is willing to price all these models, but I've gotten some seriously good deals from him in the past and I like that he's trying out this new "make offer" option.. I'm guessing reasonable offers of 15-25% off MAP would be entertained, maybe a little higher on some of the Benchmade models..
Rick H.

..well, that escalated quickly..

16" machete US made, micarta scales, 5160 coated blade with good heat treat, decent included sheath.

$45

I used one a lot over this spring and summer, and liked it enough to order a back-up. Very good deal on a discontinued product that won't ever be made again.
