A Lil Lady in PE and CruWear or MC would be an order for 3 from me (my GF wants one badly), but I love VG10 and would gladly grab a couple in the old way. A Magnacut Salt version would, I believe, be a huge hit.
Happy to wait, as there will be a lot of other buys in the interim.
A Salt is what I want most.
In that instance there is the potential for three different blade steels, multiple colors including green, yellow, and black (maybe even my proposed Red-Orange for Japanese MagnaCut?), as well as black blades, and serrations.
Some reverse-S Spyderco Salt knives should exist.
I do like a lot of the other ideas that have been shared, though. A “gentleman’s” version would be cool and so would a K390 version.
rex121 is the king of steel, but nature’s teeth have been cutting for hundreds of millions of years and counting
FFG SE reverse-S knives would be great, Salt even better. If there’s an Emerson Little Matriarch, H-2 might be a better choice because hollow grind leaves more mass in the spine for reliable deployment.
i really want a matriarch and lil matriarch, both in ticn/black frn salts with waves. i'd buy both for myself and a handful of lil matriarchs for my wife and daughters. these knives were created for defense by people that haven't had training. i wish they were more readily available and in salt steels for those that don't really care about knives enough to bother maintaining them.
Bumping this thread and keeping the dream alive! I’ll take one of each, a plain edge and spydie edge, please.
interesting that you bump this thread now. i was just thinking about revisiting my request to salt the sd knives. the matriarchs as salts makes so much sense to me.
Seki makers are pretty busy now, but I'll put in a request for the future. Might be a while?

i would seriously love to gift these to my girls as the head off for college. my first will be leaving in about a year and a half. it would be awesome if it happened by then, but i'd be happy to see them at any time.

Hey Ladybug,
That's what "Swicks" are for.

concealed fixed blades get into weird legal areas in florida. it's legal to carry a fixed blade concealed, but it's considered a weapon, whereas a matriarch would be considered a common pocket knife. i would prefer they not have to worry about the legal distinction of of the word weapon for what they carry for self defense. there is also an age component that gets a little blurry. you can't be permitted to carry a concealed weapon until you are 21, and a minor isn't allowed to carry a fixed blade at all without adult supervision. these are silly things, but so many laws are.
