Sal, question regarding the Salt line and LC200

#1

Post by twinboysdad »

My question is since LC200 can apparently handle the FFG better than H1/H2, are there models that could possibly see an FFG added? Particularly the LBHB or Manbug? Tasman? I would be all over an FFG PE LBHB but also a Manbug with the original blade shape. Thanks for your time

Hi TBD,

H2 requires hollow grinding. It is possible to make a Manbug or a Ladybug in LC, but I wouldn't want to make a Manbug with the original grind until I see the reaction on the newer leaf shape Manbug, which I prefer. Also a Ladybug would require a thinner blade stock and the odds of making enough Ladybugs in LC to justify the large amount of steel purchased in the thinner sock.

As always thanks for your response. Eternal optimist here so all I heard was leaf blade Manbug in LC200- amiright?? I really do appreciate your accessibility as the face of this company, truly one of a kind

Good catch! It looks like the case indeed. The question is, whether this is a dummy, or an actual blade (geometry, HT, etc)

when the shot glass was announced, people were excited because we thought it meant we'd see lc200n ladybugs in the near future, which also gave hope for other models we'd been requesting, like the dragonfly, etc.

Indeed. Plus these is also a shot glass with a Lil'Native LC200N blade.

Someone needs to get one, break it into pieces and make a blade swap :winking-tongue
