I wouldn’t know where to start as I bought quite a lot of knives this year, but my standout had to be the humble Rockjumper SE - what a fantastic designed knife! So good I literally bought three. I can’t believe I was on the fence for so long about it. Now if there was to be a Rockjumper XXL released in H2 or similar I would literally implode with contentedness.

I was able to snag a Manix 2 back lock off the secondary market and it really surprised me. The lock snaps into place with more authority than most Cold Steels, and without the odd liner jimping it's by far the most comfortable Manix 2 in my hand. Shame it didn't get more of a warm reception when it was released because it didn't have steel liners. I'm not a back lock fanboy but this Mini Manix 2.0 feels so much more refined than the CBBL model, which is still one of my favorite knives.

For currently available models the Leafjumper and the Lil Temp LW serrated are knives that are definitely going to see a lot of pocket time in 2024. I really like the Caribbean and both of these knives feel right at home in my hand.

Most carried by far are the N5 MC Salts, but this year I seem to have really thrown my arms around bigger models, which surprises me a bit. I think the Shaman BBB Sprint kicked that off, and next thing I knew I had bought a bunch of monsters:

Native 5 Magnacut Salt
Manix 2 XL KC Cru-Wear Smooth Black G10
Para Military 2 15V BBB Sprint
Shaman 15V BBB Sprint
Lil' Native Wharncliffe
Tropen
Vallotton Sub-Hilt
Para 3 REC 10V "Scorpion"
Military 2
Para Military 2 REC "Avocado"
Astute

Yes, the Astute. Love this little knife. If it were ever done with VG10 or SPY27 it would get significant pocket time.

CruCarta PM2! This thing holds an edge very well and any minor dings or rolls in the edge during use come out with such ease on the sharpmaker! And it just missed the cutoff, but my PM2 in S90V with the teal G10 scales.

I’m really tempted to pick one up. Only $15 more than the pacific salt. Don’t know if it would be too big for me. My salt 2 “delica” is my favorite for everyday but this would be good for picnics and around the house

I didn't buy many spyderco in 2023, down from around 12 a year to 4. I was lucky to acquire all the 15v sprints last year, they will get carried a bunch. Cheers!

My favorites acquired last year are the Knifejoy and DLT exclusive Endelas, the CutleryShoppe exclusive PM2 wharncliffe, and Zulu.

It carries quite nicely because it is so light! One of my favorite things about it is that it punches above its weight. The knife is feather light but is capable of some serious cutting. I’ve used it everyday since I got it for food prep. It’s approx the same size in hand/pocket as the pacific or Endura which aren’t that much bigger than your Salt 2. I hope this helps! I highly recommend it. One of the coolest designs they’ve come out with IMO

Well...
Mule 15V
Mule Rex T15
Mule K294

Pm 2 cruwear,
Pm 2 s45vn,
Pm 2 maxamet,

Manix 2xl cruwear Knifecenter exclusive,
UKPK s30v Heinnie Haynes exclusive,
UKPK s110v,
Pm 3 10V REC exclusive,
Pm 3 cruwear DLT exclusive,
Pm 3 s45vn,
Polestar,
Emphasis,
Efficient,
2x Ambitios s35vn,
2x Stretch 2xl blue nishijin,
Tenacious M4.
Most treasured of all of them is obviously the stretch in blue nishijin. But if I have to be honest, I think the star of the show is the Tenacious M4. It's very hard to beat. A lot of M4 cutting edge in a good ergonomic handle. For 133$ it's a real steal. The only real competitor in the price range is Endela K390.

It’s hard to remember which spyderco knives I picked up in 2023…. :
- my cruwear Endela got some carried quite a bit this year.
- Magnacut native 5 - my travel knife
- sage 5- a great knife and design. a perfect EDC design
- mule team 2 (spy27) used my mule 2 quite a bit this year. I cut up roots, vines and a variety of other plants in my yard with it.
- Caribbean - a knife that has unexpectedly muscled its way into my pocket. It’s pretty much all that I have carried for the last month and a half. It cuts really well, has a ton of handle space, and is very low maintenance .
Just one more knife...

I missed out on those various Manix 2 exclusives but I did manage to get a LW Tenacious which I wanted to buy specifically for carrying while camping and hiking.

I got my BBB 15v Manix at the end of 2022, so somehow only got two this year?! This is by far my lightest year of Spyderco purchases in years.

My accumulation doesn't have many gaps I miss anymore. Both of the ,2023 purchases are awesome. I finally got some MagnaCut in a favorite model, the N5. The other is a vintage NIB Schempp Persian 2 75mm.

Love em both.

I had my biggest year of GEC purchases by far. Hahaha. Maybe i need to share more pics of those?

It may seem like a vanilla or lame choice, but the CruCarta PM2 has been in the hand and pocket a lot this year already.

Bought my first Spyderco in 2023 and it all got a little crazy after that. What got me started on it was I went to go get scales for my bugout and my local knife store had a rockjumper cheaper than the scales so I said what the heck. Then I bought a delica, pm2, manix 2 lw, manix 2 in g10, then a stretch 2 k390, then to top the year off I got a shaman. Still have all of them except the delica. I mostly carry the manix 2 lw, the stretch 2 and the shaman
