Magnacut Salt Native, then Manix, whats next?

#1

Post by Persian_Spyder »

I know manufacturing and quality control take time, so I didn't expect the entire salt series from the product reveal to be released at once, but....

what do y'all think will be next?

Well, we know the MagnaCut PM2 should be releasing very soon. That is the one I expect to hit retailers next.

There's the Para3 LW Salt some day, too. I'm gonna have to decide between the N5 SE/PE Salts (which I prefer as a possible beach knife) and the P3 LW Salt (I strongly prefer the deep wire clip).
If there was a wire clip N5 Salt life would.be simpler.

You could try this... viewtopic.php?t=74467#p1152439

(for the record: I personally don´t like deep carry and prefer "solid"- over wire clips, so I never tried this mod).

Delica 4 with a magnacut blade. Doesn’t even have to be a salt knife. I’d gladly buy and swap the blade to a linerless FRN model.

Next is probably the Table Salt.
A steak style kitchen knife with a refillable Salt container in the handle... ;)
Probably going to be released along with the pepper salt... :beaming-face

But in all seriousness.
Probably any golden knife can be next on the list. Maybe it could be a small one like the little native lockback? Who knows..

We know itll be at somepoint soon. Para3, pm2, and chief. Order is anyones guess. After that, if they do intend to "saltify" all the golden models, that would leave shaman, military /milly2, the yojimbo, lil native, manix 2xl, etc. Id be all over a manix2xl in full serrated if that happened.

Just my thoughts and speculation, Spyderco can stay on course releasing another lightweight or drop the PM2 . Probably all boils down to scheduling and availability of materials . MG2

Slap some serrations on the Manix and call it a Sprint.

Thanks for having me! Do you have an estimate on when the Salt para 3 LW will be available? I'm really looking forward to it.

UKPK has been in the trench for quite some time awaiting release. Chief and PM2 Salts are somewhere in that same trench. I'd like to see some of the models already in the trench start to release before we get too ahead of the Magnacut Monopolization.
