My wife is already sleeping, the kid is engulfed on Fortnite...to the garage I go. Something about splitting firewood or smaller, very seasoned logs into kindling, while popping in some of my favorite metal music in my ear buds...is very relaxing to me. :zany

This is a full custom PPT made by french knifemaker Sacha Thiel. In fact, it's a PPT-Light, it has a Ti framelock side + G10 spacer + CF scale. Blade is RWL34 sweedish steel. Light, tough and perfect ergonomics.
PPT stands for the 3 guys behind this knife project : Fred Perrin and Philippe Perotti had the idea/crappy drawing of a knife and Sacha Thiel turned it into a real ergonomic tool. Fred Perrin never did a single PPT folder, he wasn't equipped for this that's why he searched for a skilled knifemaker to make it happened.
Image

On a final note, Sacha is a good friend of mine and I knew him before the PPT project. I even made a picture of the 2 prototypes Sacha made to be tested by F.Perrin and P.Perotti. I think one of them must have been sent by Perrin to Spyderco to develop the Spyderco PPT.

Wow!!! Really neat backstory, thanks for sharing and I’m guessing that’s a one-off? I sure would like to make it a two-off 😉

Sacha has made a lot of PPT custom as well as other custom models. It's not a one-off but it's unlikely you'll see a lot of these...especially in the US.

Can we see a pic of the framelock side?

Here's the lockside. Nothing fancy. The PPT Light don't come with a pocket clip to keep it ultra flat.

these big cold steel lockbacks are really growing on me. the 4 max has gotta be the best folding chopper I've tried so far. I've got a spartan coming any day now that I expect to like.
