The original black micarta calypso and the jr…

I saw the opening line and had a feeling it would be you. I appreciate all the photos you share. The Caly lineup is one I’m not familiar with, but they sound great.

Edited for typos.
I really appreciate the kind words p_atrick. I’m very passionate of them as I’m sure you all can tell, they’re inspiring knives to me in a way. old school but functional. Unfortunately not nearly as popular as the general best selling folders for spyderce e.g the manix, military and delica line have been. But im very grateful sal made them nonetheless.

1) Stretch 2 XL in Vanax Superclean, hollow-ground PE, contoured fluted titanium scales, Salt hardware.

2) Stretch 1 in Vanax Superclean, hollow-ground PE straight-spine blade, contoured fluted titanium scales, Salt hardware.

I'd be really excited for either of these knives in H2 or MagnaCut as well.

'Soy un disco quebrado' :grin-squint

G-10 or Carbon Fiber
Plain Edged
Hawkbill
Dragonfly
K390 or S90V

*I'd be happy if they'd add a PE hawkbill dragonfly to the blue FRN k390 line up.

Hmm... I'd personally really be interested in a Manix 2 MagnaCarta.

Re-issue of the Phil Wilson designed Sprig in the same S90V steel, but pushed up to the hardness that Phil would prefer, and ground very thin behind the edge. I rather liked the original handle and sheath, to be honest, so no need to make any more changes to it.

Otherwise, my CPM 15V PM2 has turned out to be an excellent "dream knife" for the part of me that is a pure steel nerd. If there's anything I'd change about it, it would only be that it would be ground to about .010-.012" behind the edge from factory.

Heat treat, thinness BTE and distal taper are a large part of what define a Phil Wilson blade. :winking-tongue

What would be my perfect Spyderco? It would have to be the Lil’Native, the backlock model with either Magnacut or perhaps K390 blade steel. It would have jimping like the Native 5 or Dragonfly. Actually, I would like a thinner blade thickness, something along the lines of the blade thickness of the Dragonfly would be great. The Lil’Native handle and blade shape is perfect it just needs a little tweaking. The handles are also a great design but can we use the purple G-10 that Spyderco has used in the past or the dark navy blue? Both of those colors are outstanding!

(And as always: Let´s hope that the "Leafjumper XL / Sequoia" will give us something like that!)

I like my St Nicks Goddard LW so well that it deserves a mention here too:

This thing with teeth would be pretty close to a dream Spyderco too (and while 4V is great in PE so far, in SE VG10 would be perfectly fine too. Just keep it ffg).

Gun to my head though the Endura is still better for me personally.

Crucarta Millie 2 is getting pretty darn close.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Kapara with either a liner or frame lock, or even back lock.

Or, a Caly 3 or Caly 3.5 with the ball cage lock, I know it wouldn't fit because it requires the knife to be widened significantly like the manix, but that would be cool if it could somehow keep the same slimness.

Not too long ago I would have proposed the Chaparral FRN SE too as a non existing "dream Spyderco" (though not as a general EDC) - now it is not just a "dream" anymore, but at least "revealed" :smiling-cheeks
