Cut up about 400ft of cardboard from a factory edge that was just starting to lose it's hair popping sharpness.

Still cleanly slices printer paper.

The Manbug wharnie helped me unpack our new sofa and ottoman. When disassembling our old reclining sofa, to make it easier to get out of the house I was using the Manbug to cut/scrape off the old stoppers I placed on the bottom supports since we have tile floors and the couch would slide.

Not the best idea, tool for the job though. The thinned out edge took some damage when making contact with the screws underneath the stoppers. Will have to fix that up during the long weekend. This is truly my only edc!

I gave a couple of those away last year for Christmas. They both had them in the bottom of their pocket this year. They love them!

Spyderco Countersink Tool

#3568

Post by RustyIron »

I found myself seventeen stories in the air, high atop a tower, high atop a mountain. The holes in the original microswitch were countersunk. The holes in my microswitch were not countersunk. Failure is not an option. What should I do? Whip out my Spyderco Countersink Tool, of course! It worked PERFECTLY. Once again Spyderco saved the day.

I've been using my S90V PM2 to score and cut vinyl flooring that I'm installing. Been holding up great. No, it's not shaving sharp after a day of that kind of use, but still has a good working edge. Zero chipping or damage. Definitely my go to knife when I know I'll be using it hard.

Used my Darn Dao to cut the thread I used to fix the sheath. Unfortunately I couldn't sew the whole thing because I broke 3 curved needles. I also forgot to use my groover to recess the stitching on the inside. If it happens again I'll be sure to use the groover.

One of my students makes like, the best beef/venison jerky on the planet and showered me with like 3 pounds of the stuff for Christmas…so my vg10 dfly has been my dedicated “beef jerky knife” for the last week

I cut open some bags of softener salt with my Maxamet Manix 2 LW. I recently started carrying it again after EDC'ing the St Nick's CPM 4V Millie ever since they were released (I forget when that was.) Maxamet's good stuff.

In laws were trying to carve a roast for Christmas Eve dinner. First they tried a duller-than-sin slicer. Mom-in-law next asked for a serrated knife, and sister-in-law handed her an 8" bread knife. Out came the M4 Tenacious, still with the factory edge.

At first they said "oh no, it's too small."

"Just try it," I replied.

"Oh, ok," they said. "Ohhhhh, okkkaaayyy!" they exclaimed.

I should have rinsed it afterwards, but now it's got a nice patina developing. C'est la vie!
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.
