I have this Manbug and Gerber Shard (small pry/scraper tool) on a small carabiner on my keychain. I'll use this for gift shenanigans.

Probably my Chaparral LW for any package slicing.
Long ago when my boys were small, I stopped using a knife for Xmas duties and grabbed a pair of EMT Shears.

trauma shears are by far the best tool for blister packaging.
