Military Monday today. Man I love this knife.

Months ago I bought screw inserts to mod this knife for tip-down carry, but haven’t found the time yet. I think I’d better, before it puts a hole in any more of my watch pockets.

Can’t wait for the Crucarta M2.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

In short, I like it a lot. :cheap-sunglasses

To expand on that a bit more - It’s one of, if not, the smoothest opening Spyderco knives I own. It’s comparable to the Sage 3 in that regard. Definitely the smoothest backlock I own and dare I say, it still has rock solid lockup… (with no detectable lock rock) I’m a big fan of all of the crowned details. Everything is crowned, the scales, blade spine, lock bar, back spacer, liners, and even the Spyderhole! It’s a nice touch. It’s a good slicer too but one thing that I’m not such a big fan of is the notch towards the end of the blade. It definitely allows that part of the blade to safely drop onto the finger when closing but it also acts similar to a sharpening notch and can catch the material being cut. Not the end of the world but it is something that has got my attention through use.

Carrying this one really makes me want the sprint run in carbon fiber and Damasteel!

Welcome back to the pocket. Sold my last one to try something else like a dork. But got this one on sale from DLT for $150. Smooth as butter and a wicked edge.

May your feet be warm and dry and your throat warm with whiskey. A knife in hand or in the sock band.
