Thanks for all your help everyone. I’ll try some of the tips and see. Helps to know you don’t have to get a burr if you’re touching it up which is mostly what I do anyway.

Glad to say I touched up the edge with single strokes on each side and stropped it. Cut some notches in a stick while out at a state park and even batoned it through a stick to break it into smaller chunks and the edge held up beautifully.
