Wow, I didn't know the lanyard/blade issue was a thing. I looked at mine and it was barely touching. I just removed the lanyard tube entirely since I don't use lanyards anyway. Thanks for bringing awareness to this.

A PITA to get back together, but I did what they should have at the factory. Now when I sharpen out the flat spot on the edge the lanyard tube won't make a new one. Looks fine without it. I don't think the knife needs a lanyard hole at all really. Would look much cleaner.

Thanks Rick. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them. And I know a lot of people like them. I don't like putting that label on some of the dealers. However, I'm not sure if they are an authorized dealer and I would hate for anybody to have a bad encounter only to find out, they're not, after the fact.

Didn’t want to regret skipping this one. I had to have a piece from “The Last of the Nishijin!”

Beautiful knife but it is such a bummer that the lanyard tube issue is still present on sprint run like this.

The issue is present on my example too but I don’t want to remove the lanyard tube. I’m considering modifying the lanyard tube on a friends lathe to add some clearance but I’m even a bit reluctant to modify a sprint run at the moment.

The tube was an absolute bummer, but man, I'm really glad I got one of these. Just a gorgeous knife. The blue fibers look cool under a jewlers loupe too. Been carrying it quite a bit.

Great pic! I got mine yesterday and it has the issue too. Really mind blowing they didn't look for this in QC, given it's "specialness"

And given how vocal we were about it with the Cruwear grey-g10 run. The Bradley gets along just fine without a lanyard hole. They should ditch it for all future runs of this knife.

Has anyone seen them ever restock on spyderco.com after they first came out? I missed it by minutes and been checking the site multiple times a day and no luck so far. Was saving up my OpFocus discount for it as soon as it was announced :bug-red

I don´t have a "lanyard tube Stretch XL" ("just" the LW), but I am actually a bit surprised that this was not noticed and solved already before even the G10 model came out.

I am not at all in a position to talk about designing and producing folders, but in my layman view it should kind of be one box on a general basic checklist if there is enough clearance for a blade in a handle - ?!
