Nonmetallic scale mounting hardware
Any way to non-permanently attach Mule scales w/o gluing them? Planning on picking up a HIC, and have ordered Ultem scales for it. Thought it might be cool to have a knife with zero metal components.
TIA

Re: Nonmetallic scale mounting hardware
I've definitely seen plastic Chicago bolts before.
No experience with them personally, but I have to imagine they'd hold up to any use the HIC Mule is likely to see.

Couldn’t see a reason to put Ultem on a black blade…..
Im a vegetarian as technically cows are made of grass and water.
Re: Nonmetallic scale mounting hardware
I think the Ultem on black would be kinda cool. Maybe some tritium in the pins too.

I would be going white G10 with black G10 pins….the Stormtrooper

Re: Nonmetallic scale mounting hardware
That would be teets! I would do the reverse for a domino look but the storm trooper look would be **** cool. I am really liking the idea of clear with tritium in the pins to find it in the dark. Maybe glow in the dark liners under the clear scales too.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry about the delayed reply. Thought I had notifications turned on.Giygas wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 12:12 pmI've definitely seen plastic Chicago bolts before.

Any idea which of the 3 sizes would work for this?
