Made a few test cuts with my dark earth SRKC. Just got it stripped tonight. Tried it out making some wood shavings and apple slices to get an idea of how much thinner the edge needs to go. Plan to hit it on my belt sander tomorrow when the neighbors are awake 
Gonna do a full sized one up a similar way soon. Working on rotating in my brown and green versions instead of the black ones I've been using.
