Skid steers and sprinkler systems don’t jive, but most tree guys are good at repairing them along with fences and gutters used the salt 2 to cut some roots out.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I haven't posted on the forum since June, but wanted to give a little update on my LC200N SE Pacific Salt.
My Pacific Salt now resides in an organizer in a pocket of my bunker pants and only gets occasional use on emergency scenes. I'm surprised if I use it more than once a month.
Recently, we responded to a vehicle accident and I ended up using the PS. It's common practice to disconnect vehicle batteries after an especially significant collision. One vehicle in particular had extremely difficult to access battery cables.
After spending too much time trying to disconnect and cut the cables with more appropriate cutters in a cramped space, I pulled out the PS and cut through the cables in about five seconds.
Metal brackets and knife tips don't play well together, otherwise not much damage to the teeth. The spine came in contact with a battery post and arced, still evident on the spine. I was impressed with it's performance cutting through battery cables -- went much easier than I expected.
Also, no corrosion of any sort after spending several months often damp with water and foam chemicals.
Obviously, no in-action pics. The aftermath:
Just wanted to share a recent experience with this awesome knife.

You know those thick cardboard bins 3 corrugated layers deep they ship pumpkins in? Broke down a few of those today with my Chief that we had in our back lot from a recent pumpkin carving competition.
Still scrape shaves despite using a pretty coarse finish and dulling it some since sharpening it.

4.5” Utility knife SE
Not the best picture, getting late here and my patience was running low.

batoned fatwood with my m4 Chief. Works better for making long thing strips to use as a match to light my pile of shavings than the thick SRK that wants to break them apart.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Came across a Ruffed Grouse dead in the road yesterday and it was a fresh kill so I decided it would probably be good for tying flies so I grabbed it up. I got around to skinning it this evening which is kind of a delicate job that a scalpel generally performs best but I don't have one so I reached for my Spyderco scalpel instead lol. I hadn't used the Chaparral to process any game before today but it performed amazingly for the task.

Broke down a few boxes.
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I picked this up several weeks ago as my main chore knife for my mini farm. I use it daily for cutting twine on bales of hay and opening feed sacks. It represents a few firsts for me, first H1, first serrated, and first wharncliffe (sp?) folding knife. For the tasks intended it is working fantastically well.

Almost anything with a wharncliffe makes a great chore knife

I have 9 goats, 22 chickens, and 1 dog. My wife and I started a hobby farm a few years ago, best decision we ever made.
