Thanks, Mike! I’m a big wharncliffe fan, thanks largely to your influence in the infosphere and on the industry. I’m adding my Delica wharnie to my Yojimbo, and my Ronin 2, and my Rock Jumper, and my Endura K390 wharnie, and my Perrin-Janich fixed blade, and …

I like AZ Custom Knives and have purchased several items from them over the years, under both the old and the current management. But some of the consignment sales just crack me up, asking high prices for pre-owned items that are still available, new in box, from Spyderco dealers.

yeah I tend to stick to discontinued models when it comes to ack. even then sometimes the asking prices are dumb. think I saw a szabo folder for $500 when I paid a bit under $200 for my first run on the secondary market and around $170 for a new second run from a store.

There is a Watu listed of ACK for $125. That is a Crazy Good Deal.

New Watus are (or were last month) available for < $150 from standard dealers, but maybe $25 less for a used knife is worth it? Unfortunately ACK isn't very good at defining what they mean by "previously owned" and "excellent" condition--at least, I haven't found definitions on their website. I like to know if a used knife has the factory edge or not, but that's ambiguous at ACK.

You are absolutely right. I knew the Watu had been discounted at retailers, but I hadn't realized by how much.

Dack is running a pretty good sale today — lot of products about 50% off MSRP. I’m tapped for knife money this week, but if I wasn’t I might be snagging a stainless police for $111. I seem to recall these guys can ship a little slow so be prepared to be patient.

I was going to post this also. And if you're in the market for a Sharp Maker it's at a good price also.

I got a perrin from them and IIRC it was 3-4 weeks to ship. They're very up front about it so no issues for me. Product was perfect.

I'll take a look at their sale. I do need a new SM.

Wow that Para 3 was already such a great deal when I bought it at $159.99. $139.99 is incredible! If it was the DLC version I'd buy another. Love the neon green on the Knifejoy exclusives. I'm hoping the Manix comes back. I saw it was available briefly earlier this month but I missed it.

I was thinking about buying another Rex45, but that one is tempting too. Decisions decision.....
