A golden era of salts

Reveal 14 dropped and it looks like the Golden Colorado favorites are getting salt variants. The Manix salt, pm2 salt, native chief salt and para 3 salt all were pleasant and exciting surprises to see. There’s a salt for everyone now. It looks like i will need to add some more salt to my collection .

My three favorite salts are all discontinued: Waterway, PAC Salt 1 SE, Caribbean Leaf SE.

There's nice new additions in this reveal but I'll wait for a SE Manix.

I am a tiny bit disappointed that the Para 3 Salt is a lightweight only even though I expected that and it makes total sense. I am kinda hoping for a Para 3 with the same construction as the PM2 salt someday.

However, the Stretch 2 XL Salt is very very exciting. So is the Native Chief. Particularly with teeth in both cases.

Native Chief Salt is one of the first things I'd tell the factory to make if I ran Spyderco. I'm a happy knife nerd today!

It's raining salts today in Golden! The chief is a killer package. PM2 is a beauty also, black blade version especially. Has some futuristic Aliens vibes.

This pair did make me curious, does anyone here have a preference for LC200N given a magnacut alternative?

This is wonderful news for Salt lovers like myself.

Unfortunately for me, it'll be a good while until I can spare the $ to buy another knife, if I ever do.

Also unfortunate (for me) is that by all appearances in the photos of the PM2 and Native Chief Salts, the pocket clips' contact points do not contact fully on the flat/smooth logo on the Native Chief; and on the PM2, the clip appears to contact fully on the texturing; the flat/smooth portion looks to be completely away from the clip's contact point.

I guess I've become "that guy."

I wondered the same thing. I doubt the LC version will sell as well.

I haven't tried magnacut but if they come out around the same time I'd buy both and compare them.

Magnacut has a ton of hype but H1 PE and LC200N have both served me well. I want to personally compare them head to head and draw my own conclusions.

I wonder if there will be a price difference? I'm buying both either way but I'd be surprised if the LC version lasts as long in the line-up.

As the Salt era is reaching its height of development (so far), and my 'dream models' are now a reality, ironically, I'll have to give them a miss.

Oh, Well! More money for me, and more Salts for everyone else!!

I'm calling out the Stretch2 XL Lightweight Salt's claim as the largest folding knife in the Salt lineup. The Native Chief Lightweight Salt has it beat in all areas on the spec sheet. The Catcherman Salt is also a large mama jama, but it's a Sprint Run and it's incredibly light for it's size.
