It looks like a person to me. The handle has some variegation to it. Almost a Lum Chinese folder shape?

Not even 9 am in Colorado yet, so technically Spyderco still isn’t open. Their work day has yet to begin. Today is still a possibility! :party-face

I'm not even interested in buying a Bodacious, or any chonky-handled knife, but I can't help checking this thread like an addict...

There's nothing I really need, and while I do anticipate a couple of reveals, whatever is lined up for this revealed won't be available in Europe for months. Yet I too spend an irrational amount of time checking the forum for updates on the reveal.
More than money burning in my pocket to buy a new knife, I think my irrational interest in this reveal is subconsciously associated with a hope that we'll get some hints on what direction Spyderco is moving in after the large purge they did with the disco-list.

That teaser was really unnecessary, Spyderco. It's consuming so much focus that would be better spent elsewhere.

FWIW, I'm in California and feel exactly the same.

I have more than enough pocket knives, and I've slashed my knife budget this year to make room for other priorities. I will almost certainly NOT buy anything from the reveal immediately.

Still, I can't help checking for the reveal because I don't want to miss out on something really good.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I feel like once I get a DLC Military 2 and DLC Chief LW in their baseline steels my Spyderco collection will be complete.

Will take something pretty interesting to get me excited beyond those. A larger salt folder would do it, but I can't think of much else. I've got just about every cutting tool category covered these days.

That said I'm still as excited as ever to see what they've got in store for us. It's fun checking out their new models even if I don't see myself ever owning the majority of them.

Good luck with that! I wish I had your confidence that I could end my Spycerco addiction by willpower alone. I've "stopped buying Spydercos" dozens of times already and yet...and yet...I guess it's more harmless than other sorts of addictions...the poor fellow below is apparently addicted to cake flour.

At this point I've gotten to try every spydie model I've wanted to try besides a Catcherman salt and Ronin 1.

I've figured out what works best for me and have bought multiples of all those models. Multiple Pacific Salts, Manix XL's, Police folders, Chiefs, Street Beats, Aqua Salts etc.

I'll always keep an eye out on new releases, but when I'm sitting on 2-10 of all my favorite models, there's just not much else to do collecting-wise.
