Re: Buried with Spyderco
Most of my knives will be going to my oldest son who inherited the knife-nut gene. The remainder will be split between my youngest son & friends/family.
That said, my ashes will be scattered near my Army Unit's memorial on Ft. Campbell. I have thought about leaving one of my knives on it to be used by whoever finds it. Maybe add a note on who it belonged to etc.

Re: Buried with Spyderco
For those who are going to be buried with your knives, please tell us your plot number and what cemetery.
We'll need to hurry if we're going to rescue them before they rust.

If I was actually going to be buried (I plan cremation). My 40th Anniversary Native, my red hollowbody electric guitar, a bottle of 15yo Tullamore Dew, a joint, and two silver coins. Slaintè.

OK, truth be told, if I win the Lotto, I'll be buried with a Buster and Julie Warenski original...otherwise, look for me in the Japan Sea!

Re: Buried with Spyderco
Not really tought about it much.
But i presume my collection will go from me to my girl who also loves spydies and after here they will probably go to my brothers kids. I know one of them already has bin bitten by the knifegerms so i think there future is safe.
And if not well at least they will have some financial aid in life by selling them.
Maybe we can guess what a 50 year old nib Nirvana will be worth in the future... guess it will be either a small fortune or who knows it can be worth nothing anymore

Re: Buried with Spyderco
I figure a N5 salt would be my go to for a coffin knife. I’d say a Spyder thrower… but I think I read they were being disco-ed this year… I never got around to buying one… but for death, a throwing knife would maybe keep the reaper off me for a second or two…?
Was never a space cadet, but with LC200N I might be more in space than a cadet.

Re: Buried with Spyderco
I just had an idea. How about giving knives to the pall bearers with an inscription on it. If you have a huge collection of Spydercos you could have a bowl and let every attendee take one.
You have pall bearers and attendees at your wake even if you are to be incinerated. At the end of your wake hand the 4 to 6 folks that carried your casket a knife that says something like, "Tommy, 1960 - "

Re: Buried with Spyderco
I’m gonna choose to interpret the burial thing as a joke/metaphorical way of just asking what’s your favorite spyderco and the one that has the most personal value. The original C54 calypso, the design features, geometry, materials etc. are the closest culmination of what I want and agree with in my opinion of the perfect edc pocket knife.
