Really looking forward to a good Millie 2 or Native Chief sprint. Stretch 2 XL in Cruwear is fantastic.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

We've got a few in the works at 4.0".

I like 4"+ blades.

We have never met. That would be a highlight for me. I'd like to meet everyone on the team at Spyderco. They are hard working and want to turn out a good product.

I look forward to seeing what is in the works! :party-face

Those of you on Blade Forums, USN or elsewhere, let those who are in the fixed and Cold Steel sub forums know that Spyderco is looking at turning out 4 to 4+ blades and they are looking for buyers!!!!

We need to generate interest in these knives if we want them produced!!!

Had a Stretch 2 XL in magnacut but always reached for my Military (CTS-XHP). The Military just feels right. I also like my Native Chief and will eventually try a Military 2 (probably on a more interesting steel release). I just like larger knives.

Says the guy who is seriously looking at a Lil' Temperance (it looks hella thick). :winking-tongue

Was unaware that they'd (Spyderco) made a Stretch 2 XL in Magnacut....
Seems like that would have not only been BIG News, but a Big Seller too.
For sure, had it been a Stretch 2 XL Lightweight with a Magnacut blade, I would have got one. Or at least tried (as I would imagine they would sell pretty quickly).

Yes sir! If Sal is designing a 4” blade then I would buy one sight unseen.

I’m fortunate to carry what I want, but let’s agree that not all who live in unrestricted jurisdictions want a biggish folder, as do I.

Of the biggish models mentioned above (not to forget my Bob Lum, JD Smith, Ulize, and Subvert), I lack only the Resilience and Yojumbo. They just don’t interest me, but my antennae are way up for the Cliff Jumper, Sequoia, Bodacious and, if not a pendant, the Caly 4.

i think it's the fault of legislation. laws are too restrictive.
Sometimes. I first got a Military from Knife Works in their really cool exclusive configuration. But it felt so **** big. Yes it was in violation of local laws, but I bought it anyways because I wanted a nice knife. The law said I couldn't carry it in public, but it didn't forbid me from owning one. However, it just felt like "too much". I formed my own opinions regardless of the laws. So I returned it (and I do regret that). Personal preference plays a big part in our purchasing decisions.
I remember the first time I pulled a Military out of the box. My first thought was "This thing is huge!". But I put it in my pocket anyway, and quickly realized I didn't even notice it there. In a week, my Delica had somehow shrunk to a keychain knife, and the Military was now a totally normal size knife. Luckily for me, it was within our legal length limit of 4", but the Police wasn't. The law got changed a few years after I started carring one of those.

How large would you like the blade on that to be? ~4.5 inches of sharpened edge would be ideal for me, and wouldn’t be much longer in the pocket than a Police.

4.5? Sounds good to me!!! I'm in. I'll buy 2 of them in plain edge.

See the thing is, I do NOT buy too many large folders, because they just are not made well. I have a few Cold Steel knives, but none of their large folders....the steel is just not where it needs to be. Spyderco is not going to do that. I want a cutting machine and Spyderco can deliver! Now is the time to hammer these XL blade at 4.5 inches in some esoteric steels! S30V would be the minimum high edge retention steel I'd like. I say to wait until the new building is operational and make a few for us.

I'm not going to nag too much, not that it is beneath me :squinting-tongue , but Spyderco knows how to stay in business and if I have to wait a year so be it. I don't run a successful business so leave it to those in charge.

I wanna see a 8 inch folding Bowie with 1/4 inch stock and a beefed up bbl lock. Some sick competition to cold steel monster folders. Who’s with me?

Probably to big for most people. Held one once. I am not afraid to carry big knives but that one really was pushing it… :squinting-tongue
