That's a looker. I never find myself carrying a non-locker, but might have to pick that one up.

Nice dye job! The ergos on these look fantastic except for the lock. Does it make a big difference?
Heya Jeff 😀 thanks for the compliment!

I do have fairly small hands so the lock doesn't really bother me all that much. My husband definitely complained about it the first time he handled it. But yes, the ergos ARE fantastic.

I recommend handling it if you have the chance, as well as the US made full size versions. Additionally, Demko licensed use of the lock to Flytanium for a new folder, the Arcade. I would recommend having a look at that one too!

He has a Swayback design with a finger choil that I would highly recommend. It won Import knife of the year at Blade Show this year. There is always the UKPK too.which is outstanding.

Received my lLarge Inkosi in S45VN this week. It's a tank and is as well constructed as the Sebenza 21. But I instantly felt connected with the small 21 when I had to disassemble this one at least 4 or 5 times before being able to give it an action that felt half as satisfying as the Seb ^^. Still a gorgeous knife ! I'll try to get a Large 21 or 31 soon.

Since it's such a subjective concept, I don't know exactly what "satisfying" action is to you but I've found that there's no shortcut to getting (what I consider) great action on the Inkosi. I polished the washers and tried a half dozen different kinds of oil but nothing worked as well as just using it and letting the parts break in on their own.

When the lockbar pressure is off it, the blade on mine swings completely freely like there's zero friction whatsoever. It took about a year and a half of near daily carry to get to that point, though.

Yes it's totally subjective ! On top of that let's add the fact that english is not my mother tongue and we're set :squinting-tongue. I'm gonna explain a little more what I meant by that. I was seeking a way for my Inkosi to have a smooth slow roll opening and closing. The pivot is free spinning if I hold the knife by the pivot, if I tighten it until the pivot doesn't move on it's own, the knife becomes almost impossible to open or close. I e-mailed CRK about it because it seems weird.
I'm not looking for it to drop freely or flick open, but since I can't really explain, I force myself to shoot a video.

Sorry for the unarticulated mess that is my voice, I'm very fluent in comprehension and written expression, but don't get to practice speaking it a lot, and the camera does not help ! :squinting-tongue

It looks like it just needs some fine tuning.

Id clean the pivot threads really well with isopropanol, apply some purple or blue threadlock, get it to the point you have it in that video then using ultra-fine adjustments, tighten the pivot until its centered and has no play. Let it sit for 24 hours.

It's definitely gonna be "tighter" than a sebenza, especially since it's brand new, but it should still have great slow rolling/hydraulic action.

Since the Inkosi doesn't have a bushing pivot like the Sebenza, and because of the tight tolerances, a little too tight can end up being way too tight. That's what I suspect is happening.

A little autumn carry. The small LionSteel. Great fat blade for splitting and prying.
