Quite a few of us, I'd say
I think I may like it even more than my Police LW, but I can't say for sure until I've handled both.

My only concern is the action, compared to G10 model…

Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
Suppose there will be a serrated version?
Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
Waiting for it. It might replace my SPY27 LW Manix for backpacking!

It must match the Spy27 Native's color. I carried and used it for the last few days and I still like it a lot.

^ Oh pooh. It could be lilac or puce and I'd still buy it.

Not at all. I'm probably the only one.
Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
Eager to compare it with the G10 version. I've been holding off on trying SPY27 until this one drops. However, the recent release of the SPY27 UKPK has got me tempted...

Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
I'm new to the native chief world myself but I'm REALLY enjoying my M390 sprint run model I just got a few weeks ago! That thing is a beast with a very nice slicing blade and an insane tip on it. I've never tried SPY27 so I may pick one up.

Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
It will be great I'm sure, but it will probably be BD1N SE for me.

Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
I'm a big fan of the native 5 lw and the g10 chief, so my hopes are high.
The spy27 will definitely be my first pickup. I've been wanting to try the steel out for a while. I might end up with SE or CE edge in bd1n at some point too. I've never owned a larger knife with teeth, so that is intriguing as well.

Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
I'm more interested in a PE or CE DLC BD1N, but may grab one of these later. Still haven't tried spy27 and it sounds like a steel I'd enjoy using.

Re: Native Chief Lighweight SPY27
I think you will. I find it one of, if not, the easiest to sharpen of all the Crucible particle metallurgy stainless steels I've tried. It reminds me a bit of CPM-154 in this regard. And in terms of edge retention, I can't really distinguish it from S35VN or S45VN. Just a great all-around user steel, though the higher cost may not be worth it if you already have a Spyderco in the S30V/S35VN/S45VN class.
