I ordered a Dragonfly Salt 2, SE yesterday for my wife. I'm hoping she digs it and my daughter decides she wants one.

I think I would prefer they had one, than not.

I've got a Centofante 3 inbound:

Image

I like its elegant lines.

I hope I can figure out how to close it one-handed without guillotining my finger. Maybe the controlled method, where I put my index finger in the blade hole, press the lock with my thumb, break the blade closed just a bit, then re-arrange my fingers and close it.

That's the method I typically use. You can also try pinching the scales with all your fingers besides the index, and push the lock release with your index finger and swing the blade shut.

Hmm 🤔 and now I know why unsharpened training blades cost almost as much as the actual sharpened knives. That and I have a sense of impending doom for one of your digits. Make sure it’s a toe not a finger. Nine toes is a much cooler nick-name than 9 fingers.

It's an incredibly simple and easy to use method, not sure what you're worried about.

I've never cut myself closing lockbacks this way.

Have cut myself on a Siren using the method everyone here is obsessed with, ironically.

Either way your post made me think of this - https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Nine-Toes

After a couple of weeks of globetrotting in the mail, I got a package from KC containing:
Resilience S35VN, CE. My first Resilience.
Endura Thin Red Line. My first Endura
Z-cut PE. My first Z-cut.

That Resilience though... I have a feeling I've just found the ultimate do everything backup folding knife for my glove compartment. It will mostly be used for food prep on the go, but it's also a a true backup for when I loose or forget my carry knife. It's way bigger than what I usually carry, but that way I know it won't be too small and it compliments my carry knife very well for tasks that requires a larger knife. There's a Hultafors OK4 fixed blade and a SuperTool 300 in there as well, so with this little change from SE to CE and slightly more blade, it feels like every base is covered. If I've only had realized the versatility of CE a little sooner...
It replaces the my 8cr Tenacious SE that probably will be looking for a new home soon.

Based on first impression I have a feeling the Endura might do the same to my TRL Endela, but they are more different than I expected and the Endela has seen quite a bit of use. Maybe too much to attract buyers... I'll worry about that when I've had some time to play with the Endura.
