Spyderco autonomy 2 with cronidur 30 apparently. :winking-tongue

Explain? Speak slowly like you're talking to a foreigner...
That "gun" tells you what metal something is made of. It recognized that it was cronidur 30 which means it's actually lc200n. Even if the metal isn't programmed in it will still give you a break down of the elements in the material. LC200N is Zapps version of cronidur 30. Like 20cv to M390 to CTS-204P.

Wow, that's cool technology. Would be very useful for determining Spyderco fakes.

Yeah if you have $10K or so just wasting away. But it was fun to verify the steel. The longer you hold the gun on material the more specific it gets with the breakdown of elements. Then you can compare it to a steel chart. It's not really made for knife steels but cronidur was originally a bearing steel. It didn't call out the Kershaw leek steel by name but the composition was right. I tried it with H1 as well and the composition matched but it didn't call it by name.
