Kids got autopsy and revealed an artery was not sutured causing Ozzie to internally bleed to death . Very upset and angry , should have never happened by a Vet doing this procedure for 23 years .

I’m so sorry to hear this Dan and the Vet part makes it even worse, NO EXCUSE for not closing up an artery…NONE!!! Ozzie was such a cool little dog and I’m sure he’ll be missed by everyone including us 🙏

So I went back and looked at some of your photos of Ozzie and man that really hits home…he was nearly identical to my cousin’s dog in Dallas and of course the same breed as Hank and Hazel…my best advice is to mourn Ozzie and never forget him but get another puppy especially for that little girl…and change Vets

I haven't been keeping up with all my threads.
Rick, sorry about Bubby. He had a great life, and hopefully a new dog will ease the pain a little.
Dan, sorry about Ozzie. I'm a chill person, but this one makes my blood boil.

Thanks Cab. We actually just got a 2nd kitty to keep our other that will be 1 year old this month, some company and a friendship. We decided we're not ready to try and fill Bub's void just yet. I've never been around 2 young cats in my 40 years on this planet...so far, very entertaining haha.

Dang Dan, I felt bad enough for you and your family as it was. That's just insult to injury. I hope you get more than a "we're sorry" out of them for this.

Adding another Kitty is the best thing you can do to have happy felines . Post some pics sometime ! Thanks all for concerns about Ozzie .I’m going to let it go this thread needs some happiness and joy . Kids are on a list already for another small dog . I’m sure someday another big dog will come into the family . Dan

This photo was a couple hours after we brought the new kitty home on Saturday, he's in the background playing with a hair tie..."Kitty" in the foreground watching his every move haha. Didn't take his eyes off him all day long and hissed like we've never heard before. As of this morning they were chasing each other around and playing.

Be careful, they have a way of getting into your heart before you know it.
Blessings you and the new kitty.
