Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores

Internet seems to suggest that it is a black oxide finish on the Bow River. Still, yeah, it's a cheap pickup most of the time for seconds sale. Not terribly exclusive in my view.

The Aqua Salts were marked as new on the page. I have a sneaking suspicion they just didn’t have any more sheaths for them. Can’t wait to have a look at them when they get here.

I’ve seen six boxes listed one out of three the customer did not get what they paid for. Maybe the expansion is costing more than they thought.

Every page I was on for knives offered in the seconds sale showed NEW on the product page but then had a disclaimer that what we were buying was a factory second. I fell for the same thing last time until I mentioned it here and someone pointed the same thing out to me

Another note though....I have 4 factory second knives. 3 came from the online sales. All 4 could easily pass for firsts. The only flaw I can find on one I had to use a magnifying glass to see. No flaws that I can find on the other 3. I have 3 knives that I bought from this sale that are out for delivery now. I'll be interested to see how these are

That is a Alcyone in your 3 knife box. I have one and it’s a decent knife.

Sorry to hear that, the DLC Cruwear Native 5 seems like a really nice knife at least. Worst case sell/trade them for something you do like. Thanks for sharing.

2 knife Mystery box
Got a PITS Sprint Run, really nice knife. My first foreign made Spyderco.
Second one is a byrd of some sort as I know nothing of the byrd line. If someone could please inform me on it, I would greatly appreciate it.

I don’t know what the Yojimbo was priced at the seconds sale I’m sure neither of those boxes add up to $150. I called Spyderco today to see if they would return unopened boxes. They said no. They ask why and I told them people were getting boxes with knives that had a cost under $150. He said all the boxes had over $150 in knives in them. I ask him who decided what to put in the boxes. He said he didn’t know but he hesitated before he answered. Obviously anyone would like to have a REC Manix. But the knife is marked $90 at the seconds sale they ring out at $97 I have one. I have a receipt and that knife and a Byrd are not over $150. I get two boxes tomorrow instead of being excited I’m afraid to find out how bad I’m getting screwed.
