Swick 5 Sheaths

#1

Post by jcarter23 »

Hi guys! I managed to get a Swick 5 second ordered from the recent sale. The seconds do not come with sheaths.

I was wondering if the Swick 3 sheaths would work or are the knives too different?

If a Swick 3 sheath won't work, does anyone have any suggestions on who could make me a custom deal?

All the different version of the Swick need their own dedicated sheath. At least in my experience with 4 different versions I own.

That's kind of what I expected TBH. I guess I need to find a sheath maker.

If you can't find any other supplier you may want to try emailing sheath pro directly:

https://knifesheathspro.com/contact/

They don't advertise being able to supply you with extra sheaths for Spyderco knives, but they can do it.

Making a functional Swick sheath isn't too hard. It can be done with $5 worth of raw kydex and a toaster oven.

Making one to sheath pros level is more difficult, and honestly it isn't worth the expense when it comes to time / raw materials if you can find a source for the factory version. I tried this same experiment with a Swick 3.

Custom makers can also make different rigs based on how you want to carry the knife, but their prices won't be any less than ordering the factory version.

Thank you! I will reach out to them and see if they can help me.

Hi Jcarter,

Welcome to our forum.

We don't sell sheaths through the store, but there are a lot of sheath makers out there and tutorials for making your own.
