Post by Rookandalbie »

Hey Everyone,

I’m new here and learning the perils of fakes on the secondary marketplace. I’m trying to be causations so I’m hoping someone can comment on the authenticity of this shaman z-wear micarta model. Thank you!

Thank you. Somebody please tell me, but I feel like this seals the deal that it’s a fake

Never seen an SG symbol where the line doesn’t intersect the apex of the triangle…

Also this clip can’t be legit

Everything looks 100% correct, including the Sal symbol and the clip. Also, sprints and exclusives don't really get counterfeited.

That’s fantastic to know, and I really appreciate your reply. I found it from a private seller and as a semi/non- expert wasn’t sure about some things (like all parts of the G in Sal’s initials not fully connecting/ touching each other) but I’ve also seen that occasionally when I zoom in. Also I know there’s a clone cruwear micarta shaman that runs on bearings and not washers, and I actually recently saw a z-wear sprint run micarta shaman for sale that I swear had the same dark plasticy looking scales I’ve seen on the cruwear shaman micarta clone. I’m glad to know you think the one I posted looks legit.

I've seen the fake 'S30V' micarta Shamans with bearings, but I didn't know they were marking any of them as Cruwear. The fake micarta Shamans are extremely easy to spot...basically every fine detail is wrong.
