That's one you don't see everyday! Saw quite a bit of pocket time for me, quite a number of years ago now. Still have it somewhere, all marred up from clipless in-pocket carry. If it were in a different handle material, I'd be game.

I'll cast a vote for the Centofante series. No particular model for me, but the 3 would probably be the most likely. So long as it got screwed construction, of course !

Id like to see a sprint of the og endura 1 fully serrated in a modern steel.

I carry mine often just because it feels right but I really wish it was made with at least vg10

I Know it was the first spyderco for many of us like myself.

Ok and yeah the plastic clip could be like a over molded wire clip too.....

Side note: One of the dealers looking for series of unique collectable releases should look at re-releasing Ed Schempp knives designed for Spyderco in chronological order. Collectors would bite, I know I would for sure. Like the White GP releases, Red St Nick's, Jade BHQs...

The Astute is my fave value folder! Just a great design from, I believe, an Eric G. & Ed Schempp colab. Give it a wire clip and VG10 and I'd be passing half a dozen out for gifts. With M4 or a higher end steel I'd buy a couple for myself.

Thanks, Mush! Good to know! Kudos to Mr. Szakonyi for a wonderful design. Spyderco should go back to that well and give him another assignment. It's the only value folder that stays in my regular rotation. Carried it yesterday!

I'm thinking of taking the clip off and carrying it in pocket. With a wire clip and a steel upgrade it would be perfect.

The Astute is one of the most elegant Spderco designs. No, I don't have one for 2 reasons, but if this one would come up in even a middle class steel, I would get one immediately.

A big +1 in support of the original Temperance. This is a model I’ve been dying to own for a while,
Looks like an absolute beast of a cutter and so much fun to use. the ergos and blade geometry are classic spot on Sal design work.

Please trust me on this one referring to the TEMP 1 model. There is a profound reason that the TEMP 1 is still my favorite Spyderco fixed blade of all time. And yes I do think you can categorize as "obscure" for two reasons>> #1 it wasn't that great of a seller at the box office #2 And it is so far removed from it's release date of 2004 that there are very few recent avid Spyderco fans that even know of it's existence.

The handle, The overall blade design and the fact that it's just as good in SE as it is in PE. And it's one of Spyderco's very best IN HOUSE designs in my humble opinion. I never go anywhere without my two TEMP 1 models when on outdoor adventures.

I'll go with you on those first two all the way>> but that D'Alton TOAD model just never caught my fancy. Although I would love to have the SE version of the TOAD in my collection because of it's super rarity; I've only ever seen one unit ever in 20 years.

For years I've thought that Des Horn model was one of the most overlooked models ever and I've been an avid fan of the RENEGADE and BLACKHAWK models for 20 years plus. All three of those would do well with a newer SuperSteel blade.
